Johnny is known as a turf nerd to friends and family. After working in MLB, he researched the turf protection industry and was granted a patent. Royse Green Technologies, Inc. The patented LED_Turf_Shield_ shown below is a key piece of equipment used to protect the playing surface during events to keep a sustainable life cycle going on the field. Mainly the LED_Turf_Shields do two things: First, they provide photosynthetic light energy to keep the plant photosynthesizing while covering the playing surface. By adding this photosynthetic light to the protective cover keeps natural process going in the plants which helps keep the playing surface green. Second, they add entertainment value to the event with cool lighting effects. RGT now has the capability to run video in the tiles and to make a large video sections on the field.
